Barcelona Apartment

In an apartment in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, located in an iconic building resembling the Flatiron Building in New York, a refurbishment by David Kohn Architects involved removing all the interior cross walls to create one large corner room. The dramatic effect was further enhanced by the use of Mosaics Marti’s encaustic tiles, with a triangular pattern echoing the layout of the apartment, which are gradually varied in pigment from green at one end to red at the other.
