Mount Park House
Mount Park House is a substantial Victorian house in west London, extended and remodelled by Paul Archer Design, with the extra feature of a south-facing garden pavilion, which is used as an art studio but also contains an outdoor kitchen. In the main house, the extension has three key spaces – kitchen, sitting and dining – that are arranged so that the homeowners can socialise between all three. There is a level change of a few steps to take you back up to the older house, giving a subtle differentiation between old and new, but also allowing the spaces deeper in the house to have better views out to the garden via the extension.
