The design brief was to create a large restaurant within a vast converted railway arch space, making sure the design stays true to the brand. Intelligent utilisation of materials and lighting on Moreno Masey’s behalf ensures the restaurant is kept informal and intimate within a large and simple archway space. The volume is highlighted by the use of timber shingles throughout and exposed original brick structure. The result is a dramatic and exciting space, revealed passing through a revolving door reclaimed from the Royal College of Surgeons. The yellow bar, green booths and purple snugs are all distinct in the vaulted timber space created by inverting a traditional roofing technique, giving it a modern twist and offering a unique dining experience.
