The Shoreditch headquarters of watch brand Uniform Wares designed by Feilden Fowles is precise and minimal, reflecting the sophisticated craft of the watchmaking itself and the ‘quiet luxury’ of the brand. The space includes a fully equipped prototyping and assembly workshop, a design studio and a front-of-house showroom. An oversized pivot door sits on the threshold between the showroom and design studio; in the studio, a monochrome palette and simple restrained furniture (Vitra’s Tyde desks and Vitsoe’s shelving system) reinforce a sense of understated efficiency. Large areas of glazing divide the various sections, offering through-views and letting light deep into the workspaces.
