Ganjam Showroom - Romina Osuna Tunks

Jun 29 2016

Indian jewellery brand Ganjam opened this 930 sq m flagship showroom in Bangalore, India, in October 2015. The very contemporary concept was inspired by a Hampi temple, reflecting the heritage of Ganjam, with massive dimensions, cut-stone walls and carved columns. RDAI designed the store while keeping in mind the guidelines that govern Vastu Shastra, the traditional Mandala for architecture, to ensure a flow of energy that is in harmony with nature. Natural materials abound – not just the… Read more

Hummelo - Romina Osuna Tunks

Jun 20 2016

If Piet Oudolf is one of the most influential garden designers and plantsmen of the 21st century, then his famous garden at his house near Hummelo is the shrine to Oudolf’s ‘New Perennial’ movement – thousands of gardeners visit every year, seeking inspiration. The garden as it stands today is divided loosely into sections, with an approach half-obscured by hedges, creating a sense of anticipation. The borders are filled with perennials and grasses, and in the… Read more

Dovehouse Street - Romina Osuna Tunks

May 5 2016

NBB Design was briefed to create a vibrant, open-plan family home from a 1950s house in London’s Chelsea. Two separate flats were reunited to bring the property back into one welcoming and beautiful home. The interiors celebrate the client’s Persian heritage, achieved by incorporating a bold colour palette – banishing white basins and wooden doors in favour of upholstered fabric doors and hammered basins that betray high-glamour influences, evocative of the Middle East. Colour is… Read more

May 5 2016

Helen Green Design was appointed to create this 11,000 square foot residence in Wimbledon, south-west London. The owners wanted to create a tranquil space with a natural flow and a calming atmosphere – a retreat away from city life – as well as a residence that would work equally well as an intimate home for themselves and their young child, and as an entertaining space. A calming palette and a layering of sustainable materials, textures… Read more

Antigua House - Laure Ghouila-Houri

May 5 2016

Located in Chelsea, Antigua House is so-called because Maurizio Pellizzoni  was asked to create interiors which echo its owner’s second home in the Caribbean. Evoking colonial charm, Maurizio opted for polished wood floors, natural linens, coir matting and a cream, taupe and chocolate colour palette. MP carried out major structural work on the period property, adding an extra bedroom and bathroom on the top floor, and excavating the basement to add a cinema room, a sauna and steam room and… Read more

The Cinnamon Club - Romina Osuna Tunks

Originally established in 2001, The Cinnamon Club celebrated its 15th anniversary by reopening with a new look for its interiors, created by B3 Designers. Executive chef Vivek Singh’s “slice of old India” has been revived and enhanced, with B3 Designers bringing out the best in the grand, Grade II-listed building, which once housed Westminster Library. Project Sinatra - Romina Osuna Tunks

Apr 29 2016

Project Sinatra consists of seven apartments in the heart of Mayfair, designed by 1508 London. A ground-floor four-bedroom duplex is the largest apartment and includes an impressive marble and walnut… Read more

Surrey Hills Country Mansion - Mario Scotto

May 3 2014

Dating from 1901, this large Edwardian property is rooted in the Arts and Crafts movement. Working closely with the architect to ensure space was used to maximum effect, Maurizio Pellizzoni extended the original building to add a new double-height formal room, Orangery, three extra bathrooms and walk-in wardrobe for the master bedroom. The client was keen to incorporate existing pieces of furniture from various family trips abroad into the new design. These pieces were distributed amongst… Read more

Nov 27 2015

Sited in a conservation area, this large garden needed a rethink of its trees and planting design, but no change to its existing hard landscaping. Most of the areas were reinvented by garden designer Ruth Willmott with fresh planting schemes that would feature more flowers and provide interest throughout the seasons.
