Salon de Lecture, Paris

A reading room created by Bismut & Bismut for AD Intérieurs’ annual show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. The project was designed around a piece from the museum’s collection, a 1950s brass and faux leather bureau by Jacques Adnet. The architects’ backdrop for the piece included an origami-inspired marble fireplace, curved plaster walls with floating shelves, a curved sofa, and several major art pieces including work by sculptor Anthony Caro.
